BeltLandia Weekender: June 24th – 26th, 2016

Greetings, BeltLandians! The weekend is upon us and, as usual, there's plenty to do along Atlanta's Yellow Brick Road and it's environs. With the official start of summer this week, it is time to grin and bear the Georgia heat for the next few months. As we know, the humidity can be wicked this time of year; however, this should not keep us from soaking up some of the Braves' final games at the Ted before the team’s stadium is officially OTP. If you’re looking for some events this summer … [Read more...]

BeltLandia Weekender: June 17 – 19th, 2016

In typical Georgia fashion, the weather this week has been humid and unpredictable. Speaking of unpredictable, you have another holiday to put on your radar for this weekend. The day dedicated to appreciating our fathers for their *hilarious* dad jokes is this Sunday. This year, nix the necktie and treat the dad in your life to one of the events below - with options including a car show and beer festival, I'm sure they won't disappoint. If you'll indulge us a recommendation, be sure to catch … [Read more...]

BeltLandia Weekender: June 3rd – 5th, 2016

It has come to my attention that we have an underappreciated holiday on our hands. Today, I would like you to join me in celebrating National Doughnut Day (this is not a drill)! I would highly encourage you to take this opportunity to indulge in this beloved breakfast/pastry item before kicking off your weekend. This week may have been short but that gives you no reason to shorten your expectations for this weekend’s events. As always, we have gathered a plethora of happenings throughout the … [Read more...]

BeltLandia Weekender, May 27th – 29th

Friday at last, Friday at last – Thank goodness it is Friday at last! In case you forgot, this is a very special Friday as it kicks off Memorial Day weekend. If I might lend a suggestion this week, I have picked out my favorite ITP soirees: Friday, start your weekend with the Decatur Arts Festival. Saturday, sleep in (you've earned this). Have a smooth, easy start to your day with the Atlanta Jazz Festival (check this out) followed by Brew at the Zoo. Sunday, SLEEP IN (I promise, you're … [Read more...]

BeltLandia Weekender, May 20th – 22nd

Greetings fellow BeltLandians! Out with the Shaky Knees and in with the Shaky Beats – fair warning, you can probably expect the streets to be jammed with Uber and Lyft carpools galore (again) this weekend. If music festivals aren’t quite your cup of tea, surely the three Bs are – Beer, bourbon and barbecue, of course! Scoot on over to Atlantic Station for some good eats and libations on Saturday. For a hot time in the city, you definitely want to make time this Saturday for Old Fourth … [Read more...]

BeltLandia Weekender, May 13th – 15th

Howdy there and happy *almost* Friday! We’re hoping you won’t come down with a case of paraskevidekatriaphobia. Ya know, the fear of Friday the 13th. Instead of observing this anti-holiday, we suggest taking a page from our book by celebrating International Hummus Day. For the love of pita bread, just say no to paraskevidekatriaphobia. This weekend’s activities are significantly lighter than last; however, you can never go wrong with a stroll around the BeltLine followed by mid-afternoon … [Read more...]

BeltLandia Weekender, May 6th – 8th

Is it just us, or did this week last longer than normal? We hope you take advantage of celebrating Cinco de Mayo in full force but be sure to reserve some energy for this jam-packed weekend extravaganza we have lined up for you. Between the festivals, art shows and concerts, there is sure to be an event out there for everyone to enjoy. This is the final weekend for Cirque du Soleil’s visit to the Big Peach – if you’ve somehow missed the giant yellow and blue tent sitting by Atlantic … [Read more...]

BeltLandia Weekender: April 29th – May 1st

With lows finally out of the 40s, I think we can truly welcome spring weather in Atlanta. That being said, we encourage you to take this weekend to soak up the spring sun before the scorching summer arrives in May. As April comes to a close, the Atlanta Botanical Garden will end their Atlanta Blooms celebration, the springtime extravaganza of tulips, daffodils, crocus and more. As one door closes, another opens: Starting April 30, international artist, Dale Chihuly will return to the Garden … [Read more...]

Howl-o-ween 2014 Pet Parade Benefits Freedom Barkway

Black cats have been hogging the spotlight on Halloween for long enough. Every dog has it’s day and that day is Saturday, October 25th. All dogs are invited to dress up in their most fabulous swag for the Howl-o-ween Pet Parade. They should have their owners dress up too and bring them along to where Highland Avenue crosses over the BeltLine at Alaska. The parade will begin at noon. It’ll be the most spectacular pack ever seen in these parts as the parade moves west on Highland Avenue to the … [Read more...]

Find Our BeltLine Stash and Net Some Cash

We’re going to start giving away money. So we hid a twenty dollar bill today. Perhaps we should explain: 1. We are unabashed Ambassadors of the BeltLine Lifestyle. It’s because we are grateful to claim as our neighborhood a band of emerging infraculture that is arguably the best thing to happen to Atlanta in a long while. Part of our mission at BeltLandia is to promote buying local from the best businesses, restaurants, shopping, and services in the corridor. 2. Our work is helping home … [Read more...]
