This past Saturday, I took another trip to The Green Market at Piedmont Park and the weather had definitely improved since my last visit! I arrived about an hour after they opened and it was rife with patrons and their puppies, all happily perusing the booths along with me. I hadn't seen it so packed quite yet, so it was nice to see everyone walking around to support their local vendors. I trekked down to the very edge of the market to visit the Southern Berkshire Farm booth. On my previous … [Read more...]
Farmers’ Market Fridays: Kombucha and Kale
This past Saturday I went to check out the Green Market at Piedmont Park. As I mentioned last week, March 18th kicked off their 2017 season and I was itching to see what other vendors had in store. Or booth, rather! As I headed to what seemed like the front of the market, I bumped into my friend Wes, who was selling Golda Kombucha. Golda is Georgia's first kombucha tea company and is locally brewed. The two flavors they had that day were lavender lemonade and blackberry mint. I sampled both … [Read more...]

For some of us, our homes are a little fuller this weekend with friends and family seeking refuge from Hurricane Matthew. While we may feel little of the effects from the hurricane here in BeltLandia, keep those affected in your thoughts. If you are hosting friends or family at your home, treat them to an event around the Beltline to help keep their minds from focusing on the worst case scenarios. We are hoping that our coastal friends can enjoy their weekends despite the circumstances. The … [Read more...]

The chill in the air we have been waiting for has finally arrived. Let us all welcome Fall with open arms! I cannot think of any better weather to enjoy a Braves game in – especially the last few games at The Ted. If I were you, I would also make some time for the Porches and Pies Festival. Honestly, they might be the most revolutionary combo since peanut butter and jelly. P.S. I hear they are giving out Chipper Jones jerseys at the Braves game tonight! Cheers, my … [Read more...]

Happy Friday and an even happier Guacamole Day! Hopefully, all of you celebrated Queso Day at Moes on Thursday so it is only natural to go for round two today and treat yourself to some guacamole goodness with your best amigos. With this the weekend of Music Midtown, it's a bit of an understatement to say the weekend will be full of live music. We can also cue the beginning of fall festival season in the peach state. We just have to patiently wait on the weather to get the hint. I hear … [Read more...]

Finally the weekend has arrived to recover from Labor Day Weekend. This week could not have felt any longer to have been a short week. Thankfully we can kick back, enjoy some college football games and ease into the simplicity of fall. Of course the weather will not warrant big comfy sweaters just yet, but tailgates and pumpkin spice lattes are on their way! Take the opportunity to relax this weekend with a few of our hand-picked events. Enjoy! Friday, … [Read more...]
BeltLandia Weekender: August 19th – 21st, 2016
The week has come and luckily for all of us, the week has almost gone. I would personally like for it to go far, far away. Is it just me, or does that long weekend in September need to be here ASAP? Like, now? Maybe if we stick together and enjoy the next two Atlanta event-filled weekends, we play hookie on the city soon. Since we can't have our toes in the sand quite yet, maybe a concert at Chastain Park and a classic movie at the Fox will help ease our end-of-summer-is-near woes. I … [Read more...]

This weekend's events are a bit on the lighter side this time but only because you will have a lot of indulging to do. Take your pick of the events Friday, but be sure to take it easy. Saturday you will want to take full advantage of the ice cream festival at Piedmont Park. My guess is you will have a slow start on Sunday following the sugar coma, so treat yourself to some brunch, take a nap and prepare for the celebration of National Tequila Day!* As always, have fun and consume ice cream … [Read more...]
